Crowds is a sound project that explores rhythmic pack mentality through recordings, compositions, performance and collage.
Call & Response for Two Crowds is a sound composition written for two groups of performers. The composition emulates or heightens the sounds of a crowd using snippets of text culled from a newspaper. Call & Response for Two Crowds was performed in 2009 by those in attendance at the opening of the exhibition Re: (The Reply) at Shudder Gallery in Vancouver, Canada. The score was left on the floor for the duration of the exhibition.
